Results of this study are published in this month’s edition of Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease. This was a long-term study that took place over two decades by interviewing over 1400 people in Finland, a country which is noted has having a high percentage of coffee drinkers. Now the researchers are intended on finding out exactly what it is in coffee that provides the benefit to better memory function.
We’ve always believed in the benefits of drinking coffee on a daily basis, and the results from this study should have you reaching for an extra cup in the morning. What exactly does it take to become a world champion barista? Well, the new winner of the 2008 World Barista Championship can probably give you a taste of what is required to become a world class barista. Stephen Morrissey of Ireland was crowned the champion at the end of the competition to become the 2008 WORLD BARISTA CHAMPION with his four perfect espressos, four cappuccinos and four espresso signature drinks in a short 15 minutes. The ninth annual contest took place in Copenhagen, Denmark over 4 days and brought in the best of the best from 52 countries, when it comes to brewing coffee of varying roasts, tastes, flavors and presentations.
